Guest IPD Posted 11 August , 2006 Share Posted 11 August , 2006 Infact the month of August 1917 was a terrible month for the Worcestershire Regiment as they lost 360 killed. God Bless Them All
edwin astill Posted 11 August , 2006 Share Posted 11 August , 2006 Westhoek was a miserable time for the men. Alexander Johnston (save up your money book out next year I hope) - 3/Worcs but commanding 10/Cheshire - wrote about it and from his description the night he spent on the ridge was the worst of the war - and he went out in 1914.
