Mates,

Is this man mentioned in any of your books on the RAF.

He embarked with the 6 ALHR and made Sig/Sgt on Gallipoli.

He was discharged and commisioned into the RFC in Aug 1916 but after that the only referance is that he was made Capt.

Post war he moved to Shanghi China and worked there untill the WWII when he joined as Maj the IOAC in Bombay India. What IOAC could be is unknown?

Any records of what Sqn's he served in or anyother details would be great.

Cheers

S.B

Thanks mates,

Very interesting.

So by that I see he was possibly not a flying officer but worked in the ground staff, maybe in the clerical or pay area.

He was an accountant by trade coming from Luna Mancester UK.

Swann had been medicaly down graded while in hospital in the UK, this may also have stopped any flying?

He after the war either started a Company or the company belonged to his family in Shanghai.

Cheers
