Always happens like that - friend of mine repeatedly tried to meet up on the Saturday to loan me some paperwork I want to try and copy, but kept missing me - had to go and see him early on the Sunday to sort it out in the end. Andrew Upton Posted 27 August , 2009 Share Posted 27 August , 2009 Bumpety bump! Coming up to the 2009 Detling Military Odyssey now, Saturday 29th, Sunday 30th and Monday 31st August. I will be there again in my MGC role acting as the MG Corporal for the blank firing Vickers for the three days. New this year for Great War enthusiasts will be an above ground trench which visitors will be able to walk through and get some idea of what life in them was like. Spot a speccy MGC Corporal with 33rd Div domino patches next to a Vickers going bang and say hello!
