I am looking for a photo of the U103 to compare to a photo my mother bought at a tag sale. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Thanks for the welcome.

Tag sale= garage sale, you know people selling stuff the don't want out of their garage

I've seen the uboat.net site, but I need an actual photo of the U 103 and have not been able to find one.

Hello

Thought you might have meant a garage sale - not heard it called that before

"Mittle U" is a generic name for the diesel-powered, ocean-going, torpedo attack U-boats in the U-series, especially the boats built during the war. There were actually a number of different designs. If you either post a scan of the picture here or e-mail it to me, I'll see what I can make of the picture. I have the plans to all WWI U-boats.

Best wishes,

Michael
