I liked Soren's offering, but Ozzie's was very moving so just pips it and gets my vote.

Regards,

Neil.

WELL DONE EVERYBODY !!

Getting a real selection of interpretations and media these days - a real treat, thank you.

Voted for Soren this time, but really needed three or four votes this month (maybe need to register a few 'ghost' forum memberships to get a few extra votes for tough months like this one!!).

Steph, loved your poem.

If we go with Roxy's suggestion for August can we ban twee interpretations that involve angelic 'sitting on knee' images? (!!!)

Jim,

I was looking forward to twee interpretations that involve angelic 'sitting on knee' images.

Ah... well obviously so was I....

I just thought it would prompt some more imaginative interpretations if we banned the obvious - kind of like the 'No Stairway' sign in guitar shops...!

Ahem, anyway, moving on...

I suppose I go more for words than images - but John and Glyn's photoshop montages were very effective, and Des's drawing - which captures the action in simple lines in the style of his beloved "comic books" - combined with his 2006 photo of the idyllic scene now, was impressive. Ozzie and Spike, you have a heck of a way with words - but Spike gets my vote this month.
