CROONAERT Posted 23 October , 2003 Share Posted 23 October , 2003 I have seen these "front knot" hairstyles in several WW1 photos. It always amazed me that it was permitted bearing in mind that the Army was so keen on regimenting everyone with short back and sides. I suppose it follows the old maxim: "What's under your cap is yours, what's not belongs to the Army" and other such similar sayings. Dave.
CROONAERT Posted 24 October , 2003 Share Posted 24 October , 2003 (edited) Martin. Check out the photo on the posting in the "Uniforms and equipment" section entitled "What are they wearing". A man on the front row seems to have the haircut you are looking for. Dave. Edited 26 October , 2003 by Chris_Baker

Dragon Posted 30 October , 2003 Share Posted 30 October , 2003 I hope you have a brilliant time! Don’t forget your hot water bottle. Oh… Geranium oil is good for head lice. (I mean, good at annihilating them, not good for the lice.) It’s safer than matches. Gwyn
