Rob B Posted 22 July , 2006 Share Posted 22 July , 2006 Hi All, My Grandfather ( Fl LT Robert Geddes Spence) flew DH9s out of Stavros with the RNAS / RAF winning a DFC for bombing, from the sound of it predominantly the Bulgars and Constantinople. He is one of three who did not get a citation but was awarded it in the 1 Jan 1919 LG. What I am after is a photo of a DH9 in the Aegean colours to frame with a copy set of his medals can any one point me in the right direction? Thanks for you help as always. Cheers, Rob
horatio2 Posted 22 July , 2006 Share Posted 22 July , 2006 Rob, Have your tried a search in the huge photographic collection at the Fleet Air Arm Museum? RAF Museum and IWM also spring to mind. Obviously in that era "Aegean colours" will be black and white! H2
