Arthur J Posted 18 July , 2006 Share Posted 18 July , 2006 A good friend of mine Rik Ryon from Proven is a sculptor who uses the copper driving bands to create sculptures with the Great War as a theme currently has an exhibition at Talbot House in Pop. They are extremely moving, somber, and peaceful, and this is brought home all the more when you realise that the copper bands were fired in anger 90 years ago. In 2005 Rik had a successful exhibition at the Royal Irish Fusiliers Museum in Ireland. so impressed were the museum that they purchased a small collection which is still on display.
