Recent sale of relatives medals

Hi all,

I have recently learnt that a relative of my wifes WW1 service medals were possibly sold recently on ebay or trademe.

The surname of the New Zealand soldier was McOnie. A rare name. These medals were apparently sold 3 -4 months ago.

Do any medal dealers out there know of this sale, and if so, can we make contact with the last buyer.

If you could supply me with the regimental number and unit shown on the medals in question then that would confirm to me thier authenticity. As I have those details.

This is such a huge coincidence that Im commencing this research for my wifes side of the family and then an associate of mine remembers seeing them for sale online. ..would dearly love to get them back in the family.
