Remembered Today:

Peace Babies

Sometime ago I heard mention that 'Jelly Babies' had been invented in 1918, by Bassett's, and branded 'Peace Babies'.

A quick look on the Cadbury's site confirmed this (Jelly Babies).

Were there other food/drink products brought out to celebrate the end of the war?

My goodness.

They certainly knew how to celebrate in those days, didn't they?

Will The Boer War do Not First World War I know but it's the best I can manage. Double Maxim Brown Ale from Sunderland. Have a look at,

Much better to celebrate with than a quarter of Jelly Babies :P

Roger.
