Guest Hill 60 Posted 18 October , 2003 Share Posted 18 October , 2003 Sometime ago I heard mention that 'Jelly Babies' had been invented in 1918, by Bassett's, and branded 'Peace Babies'. A quick look on the Cadbury's site confirmed this (Jelly Babies). Were there other food/drink products brought out to celebrate the end of the war? Dragon Posted 18 October , 2003 Share Posted 18 October , 2003 My goodness. They certainly knew how to celebrate in those days, didn't they? Gwyn

roger Posted 19 October , 2003 Share Posted 19 October , 2003 Will The Boer War do Not First World War I know but it's the best I can manage. Double Maxim Brown Ale from Sunderland. Have a look at, http://www.dmbc.org.uk/history1.htm Much better to celebrate with than a quarter of Jelly Babies Roger.
