There is always so much happening in Ypres on the 11th of November - surely similar events take place in the Somme to mark the end of the Great War; if not what a sad indictment of the world we live in... I should imagine there must be some taking place. Having said that there are several services commemorating 1st July on the Somme and at Vimy on 9th April, so perhaps the Armistice passes into obscurity.
