roger Posted 17 October , 2003 Share Posted 17 October , 2003 I've just come across the rank of 2nd Corporal for a man in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps. I've never heard of this rank before but would guess it would be equivalent to Lance Corporal. Am I correct in assuming this because I know assumption is the mother of all foul ups. Roger. roger Posted 17 October , 2003 Author Share Posted 17 October , 2003 Thanks very much. I told you assumption etc. Was this a standard rank throughout the army or for certain units? Roger

Terry_Reeves Posted 17 October , 2003 Share Posted 17 October , 2003 The rank of 2nd Cpl was common in the RE, and in that Corps at least, the holder wore a single chevron. Terry Reeves
