Cdt ?, Mid 15.09.1911, Act SubLt 15.01.1914, SubLt ?, Lt 15.09.1915, Retired List 31.10.1919?, LtCdr 15.09.1923. HMS Vulcan, 10.02.1916, First Lieutenant HMs/m C22 HMS Maidstone, 01.07.1916, First Lieutenant HMs/m G11 HMS Maidstone, 01.11.1916, First Lieutenant HMs/m E38 HMS Maidstone, 01.08.1917, For submarine duties HMS Dolphin, 01.10.1917, CO HMs/m H12 HMS Titania, 19.03.1919, For command of submarine ? 01.10.1917, HMs/m H12 commissioned in USA was one of the H class built at Fore River in 1915, but was impounded until October 1917 when America joined the war. 06.06.1918, HMs/m H12 damaged by gunfire when involved in ‘friendly fire’ incident off Codling light when the Q-ship HMS Hyderabad and the trawler HMS Bracondene. kin47 Posted 10 July , 2006 Share Posted 10 July , 2006 Hello Vectis A couple notes: Fraser in January 1915 NAVY LIST issue appears now as a S/LT, no longer acting, with same seniority. In January 1919 assigned to TITANIA, he was assigned for "command of submarine." If you look, that is standard for this period for command of a submarine in the Flotilla. Irritating as it was since he would have had his own boat in most instances. It shows Fraser did retire as shown receiving a gratuity. He appears in the NAVY LIST retired section in January 1929, but not after that. Sorry, don't have a better date for his passing.
