Remembered Today:

Robert/Andrew Hood RFC?

Hi Folks,

I wonder if any of you knowledgeable people could lend an informative hand with my wee problem.

I was looking out a relative James Swirles Hood (lieutenant, 3rd Bn. Canadian Infantry(Central Ontario Regiment)) who died in 3 May 1917 at Fresnoy, Arras.

I found online a newspaper clipping from the Toronto Star (18/May/1917) detailing his past, coming from Kirkcaldy, Fife etc and stating that he had 2 brothers, which is absolutely correct. It went on to say that one brother was a Flight Commander in the RFC.

This is my problem although both brothers, Andrew Hood (b1895) & Robert Hood Hood (b1892) could have been in the Forces I can find no substantial clue as to whether either was in the RFC. Robert certainly marries in 1919 but I can find no trace of Andrew.

I've searched the NA MIC records and the CWGC site to no avail.

Any Ideas on where to go from here?

Thanks
