stephenh Posted 3 July , 2006 Share Posted 3 July , 2006 Have this 'Blue Ringed' in the remarks column of one of my MIC. Any ideas what this may mean? Baffling. Stephen

doogal Posted 5 July , 2006 Share Posted 5 July , 2006 2a is the notation for Salonika or another part of the Balkans (not Gallipoli), but sorry, don't know about the "Blue Ringed". A complete guess - perhaps the person who wrote this is noting that the soldier's record was marked as 2a.
stephenh Posted 5 July , 2006 Author Share Posted 5 July , 2006 Thaks Doog 2a as Salonika, that for one never crossed my mind. All helps in trying to decipher this notation, cheers. Stephen
