I will be busy tomorrow,(not unfortunately on The Somme, but watching the match, after my youngest boy takes part in a local footy tournament :- I do hope the commentators at the World Cup refrain from tying The First Day of The Somme and our overpaid superstars together in their usually "in the trenches" style . I shall be sparing a thought for the Lonsdales tomorrow, and all the others who fought and died in the Great War)

Thus I've had to do the poll now....

Voted for Des's - very simple, but something about it grabs you as soon as it appears... well done, mate.

I agree, very nice use of line, I'm envious!

Even though I said Landsturm's was going to get my vote this time, I am not voting.

Too hard, you are all so bloody good! Every one has, in their own way, done such a great job.

Now, you will have to let me know how the voting goes, as I can't see the result unless I vote.

Cheers

Thanks Landsturm!

It must be about your turn to pick a subject, or maybe we should wait and give Mandy a go??

OK, I confess. Curiousity got the better of me. I voted for Landsturm and wow! He is leading by a mile. Great to see votes for the photography.

Cheers

Not as many votes cast as I would have hoped.

Is this typical of the number of votes cast in any goven month? It looks very low to me considering the umber of active members that this forum has.

For different reasons, 2 visuals impressed me - Landsturm's and Jimothy's 'Unknown heroes'. I also liked Spike's verse. But Kim's chilling short story gets my vote.

Jim

Jimothy - I suppose you could say that this part of the Forum is something of a niche market.

Thanks Jim.

Jimothy,

I don't know if the word art puts some people off, maybe we can do something about it.

Look for post titled Hidden members.

That should get them curious.

Cheers

Kim

Jimothy

The forum title is art, your photos (and bloomin' good they are, too :) ) are art and judged as such. And as if we'd suggest you were canvassing!

I haven't decided yet. I'm thinking about how I can best interpret the theme.
