The only Moss' of the RFC I could find were;

William Moss Temp 2nd Lt

Lionel Boyd Moss Major

J Moss Air Mech 2

There were two in the RAF, a private and a flight clerk and none down as RNAS.

Failing all else you could get onto Steve Coogan's web site and ask him if he modelled his totally hilarious, bonkers character of that name on a bumbling, elderly aviator with a flat cap and fetching northern accent.

Was any Moss that you found in the Kite Balloon Section?

We lived next to a chap named William Moss who was in the KBS, but in what capacity I don't know.

Sorry Vervos.

No unit was stated. Perhaps the downloaded MIC might provide some info.
