Unknown Hospital in England

Afternoon,

Can anyone name the hospital my GGU is convalescing in. Or at a long shot anyone

recognise a family member.

There was a large-ish VAD hospital at Cheltenham Racecourse - but it would probably have changed by now anyway.

There was a hospital on the racecourse at Squires Gate, Blackpool (now the site of the airport) throughout the war. The wounded were apparently housed in the grandstand. Unfortunately I have yet to see a photograph of the place.

It's interesting Sue you saying Cheltenham as he was from Bristol

which isn't too far away.
