discharged?

Hi

I am trying to trace the medal card of a relative who survived the war. I have very little information about him. I believe he was in teh Seaforth Highlanders but am not 100% sure about this. I do know that he lost his leg in action and I assume he would have been discharge after this (!) There are several people of the same name in this regiment. To help me narrow down the search, would a medal card normally indicate if a soldier was invalided out during the war?

Thanks

He would have received the Silver War Badge in this case, which would be annotated on the card, often as "SWB". This should narrow the candidates down a bit.
