Records of officers and soldiers who have served in the British army

I've seen reference to this book in a bibliography but am not quite sure what it is. Has anyone seen it and if so, is it a list of names or just advice on where to look for the records?

I sense it may be nothing more than an information booklet produced by the PRO on "where to look for...." but it seems worth a look if it contains more info than that.

Yes I think so - and judging by the price it would seem to be rather small and not the voluminous book I was hoping for. But i'm sure someone on this Forum must have read it.

And I've just read the details more carefully: 20 pages long, which indicates this is not really an avenue worth pursuing.
