Mandy, thanks for the look-up.

Though I have to say I'm even more confused now. The MIC for this man doesnt mention the Lincolnshire Regiment at all. I guess that, being from Waddingham he joined the Lincolns initially - is it likely that he was transferred to the Notts and Derbys before he was first sent overseas and then, at a later date still, transferred to the Loyal North Lancs?

A lot of the extra regiment details given on SDGW refer to their first unit, and I have seen many where it is a unit only served with in the UK.

I would say your assumptions on transfers are correct.
