stan Posted 5 June , 2006 Share Posted 5 June , 2006 Although it takes a while to download (particular for those not blessed with broadband) this clip from Wanaka is well worth the look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtprTL66-FY

MikB Posted 11 July , 2006 Share Posted 11 July , 2006 Does anyone know if the planes featured in both are in anyway genuine or total repro's? Alex Well, Biggles never mentioned the wavering engine note of the Camel . I really wonder if it could have been that bad in service. As well as being even more of a beast to control precisely than its reputation suggests, it's hard to imagine the gun synchronisation achieving any acceptable reliability at all. Yeah, I know they used to jam a bit more than now and again, but with that up-and-down engine note it's hard to imagine getting off more than a 1 or 2-second burst... Regards, MikB
