Steven Broomfield Posted 3 June , 2006 Share Posted 3 June , 2006 Robert - give us a clue . I have the regimental history so I can at least look that up if it's any help. Others will no doubt know more!
Robert Dunlop Posted 3 June , 2006 Share Posted 3 June , 2006 Sorry Steven . There was a hiccup when I posted this thread. The browser returned an error. Knowing that this sometimes happens, I just waited. Sure enough the thread title appeared so I didn't bother to open it. In the past, the complete message had always got through ok. When I eagerly opened the thread to look at your reply, lo and behold no original text. It must be in the ether somewhere. So here goes again... I would be really grateful for information about the 2/Royal Scots on the 13th October, 1914. They had come up against German cavalry in the Race to the Sea. I am particularly interested in any details about the capture of Pont de Hem but anything about the action would be much appreciated. The information in the regimental history would be a huge help. Thank you very much. Robert
