Chris,

Mrs D watching "Most Haunted" at the moment and this chap is meant to haunt Peterborough Museum.

Anyone visiting there say Hello to him as you go up the stairs.

http://www.peterborough.gov.uk/page-10143

A grey figure, said to be the 'Lonely ANZAC', First World War soldier Thomas Hunter who died in the building in 1916 from wounds received in France. His ghost is seen on the stairs or first floor corridor, and was most recently seen in July 2006.

'aven't been in there since. Me knees are still 'nockin'. !!

Not entirely unlikely since the Museum was the Peterborough Infirmary during WW1.

There is a memorial book on him in Peterborough Library.

Steve.

It seems he doesn't like being in Peterbrough and wants to go back to County Durham, where he was born.

Anyone got a photo of him, the man, not the ghost?
