34thdiv Posted 22 May , 2006 Share Posted 22 May , 2006 Hello all, Please could anyone help me, I am trying to piece together my grandfather's was service. 84992 Sjt G.D. Mills DCM MM survived the war following capture at Bunhill Row in April 1918. He was with the 34th Div Signals Company, but I would like to try and trace even some of his army service, I assume he joined up in 1915, in Norwich, Norfolk, but where did trainee signallers go to learn their trade, does anyone know of a likely training camp? He ended his war in Cottbus, but any hint/clue to the first years, if it's not too much of a long shot. I've great faith in the Forum as I've already learned a lot from this site thanks to you experts. Best regards, Rob.
