I have my Grandfathers medal card .He was in the rfa as a driver ,Reg No 39110.His qualifying date 24/8/1915 France.He was recruited in Rotherhithe London.If some one can give me a unit that he may have served with i would appreciate it.

You could check the medal rolls at the NA in Kew for his unit details - or better still, see if the papers survive

Hi,

Also another place to check. If you or a family member still have his WW1 service medals, check the rim of the medals, often his service number and unit he served in are engraved on the rims of the medals.
