Lyndon Posted 17 May , 2006 Share Posted 17 May , 2006 Hi! I have recently been successful in obtaining my great grand Fathers military records. Can anyone help with the following: My great grand Father was posted to the Royal Field Artillery, Special Reserve 5th Division, 25th Res Battery when he was recalled in 1914. What was there roll and where were they posted? As my great grand Father served with them for 3 years and didn't leave the UK.
Chris_Baker Posted 17 May , 2006 Share Posted 17 May , 2006 It was a training unit, based in Athlone in Ireland. Details of all home-based RFA units here: http://www.1914-1918.net/artillery_home.htm
