armourersergeant Posted 3 October , 2003 Share Posted 3 October , 2003 (edited) Last night i took myself of to Birmingham University to listen to Dr John Bourne talk about 'Middle management in the BEF 1914-18' and i have to say i was very impressed with what he said. He covered aspects that i had never even considered and clarified others. His style of delivery is both informative and inviting and makes you just want to go on listening hour after hour. I would strongly reccommend any that have not heard him speak to do so and also if you are in disitance of the University to make apoint of attending the War and Society seminars that run at the beginning of every month. You can access the University of Birmingham Centre for First World War Studies site from here. Arm. Edited 3 October , 2003 by Chris_Baker
Chris_Baker Posted 3 October , 2003 Share Posted 3 October , 2003 I agree. John is a great lecturer, and the Centre for First Word War Studies is well worthy of support.
