Hoping that someone wil have some info on this ship please. I'm researching a casualty from this ship

Chris, this is the only Panama I have details of:

On 10th July 1915 SS Panama, 5,981 grt, was persued by an unidentified German U-boat 11 miles S from the Lizard, Cornwall, English Channel, but escaped by own speed.

Built 1902. In 1914 became hospital ship. In 1920 became Admiralty's permanent hospital ship, renamed Maine. Originally part of the Pacific Steam Navigation Company fleet. It was the third ship in this fleet to have the name Panama.
