Second Lieutenant George Albert Ruffridge, of No 80 (Training) Squadron, 44th Wing, RAF Canada, was killed in an accident while flying in a Curtiss JN-4 on 6 May 1918. He is buried in Rosedale, New Jersey, USA. The 44th Wing was based at Camp Borden.

Also killed in the accident was Cadet Hugh Barker O’Leary (152558) a 25 year old native of Toronto, Canada. He is buried at Mount Hope, Toronto, Canada.
