RN MSMs 1919 - 28 including Commonwealth & Empire Naval Forces, Reserve & Auxilary Forces, Royal Marines etc Chris I would be grateful if you would look at 222904 HJ Clark RN. I have his STAR and VM and from memory I am sure he had an MSM but I cant think where I put his copy service record. These were the first medals I ever bought - cost me something like £1.25 when I was about 8 yrs old.

peterashton Posted 3 May , 2006 Share Posted 3 May , 2006 My grandad CERA Joseph Arthur Ashton M1183 received an MSM for his services in 1917 but it was not published in LG until June 1919. Why the delay?
chrisharley9 Posted 3 May , 2006 Author Share Posted 3 May , 2006 The Order in Council of 14 Jan 1919 allowing these awards specifically stated that these medals would be awarded without annuity so I think that has a lot to do with it All The Best Chris
