auchonvillerssomme Posted 1 May , 2006 Share Posted 1 May , 2006 I have come accross a National Ordnace Factories, Leeds. Certificate of service with an On War Service 1916. badge attached. It was awarded to Mrs Nellie Barker, Machine Operator. Its is signed by the Deputy superintendant NOF number 3. Is there any way of discovering where National Ordnance Factory No3 was located and what it did? Mick
John W Posted 1 May , 2006 Share Posted 1 May , 2006 I suspect it could be the shell filling factory at Seacroft. The best place for information will be the Royal Armouries at Leeds, give the education officer Adrian Budge I think is his name, a ring John
