medals1976 Posted 29 April , 2006 Share Posted 29 April , 2006 I am researching 2nd Lieutenant George Rowland Horsfall 48 squadron RFC whom was KIA on 20/11/17. I would like to know any information about him, how he was kia and what his squadron were involved in during the period. I also believe he was previously wounded but have nothing further and also he assisted as Observer to Captain Scolte during one of his combat claims. I hope any members can help me. Thank-you. Dolphin Posted 29 April , 2006 Share Posted 29 April , 2006 2Lt George Rowland Horsfall was flying as the observer in Bristol F.2b A7277 when he was killed in action. Unfortunately, the name of his pilot, who apparently survived, doesn't appear in the standard references. Gareth
medals1976 Posted 30 April , 2006 Author Share Posted 30 April , 2006 Thanks Gareth for your help. I was led to believe horsfall was a pilot as in "The Sky their battlefield" book he is mentioned as KIA but as you say there is no reference of another member of that aircraft. I wonder if any Forum members know whom the pilot could have been?
