Max Posted 30 September , 2003 Share Posted 30 September , 2003 Hello Everyone I am having a bit of a ding-dong at the moment with the CWGC . Could anyone in the know please point me in the direction of a source for their (detailed) terms of reference. Thanks Andy
John_Hartley Posted 30 September , 2003 Share Posted 30 September , 2003 Terry Denham's your man for this. But come on , grass 'em up. What's the ding-dong? John
Max Posted 30 September , 2003 Author Share Posted 30 September , 2003 I'm not going to grass them up, I think in general they do a very good job Sufficient to say that we have a difference of opinion about how my GGrandfather is named on their database. See below and compare to CWGC. Andy
Terry Denham Posted 30 September , 2003 Share Posted 30 September , 2003 CWGC is governed by a number of Royal Charters with various amendments but you will find nothing to help you solve a spelling error! CWGC will always change a spelling error if evidence is provided that conclusively over-rides information already supplied by the military. What is the nature of your problem with them? Who have you contacted? Email the info to me off-Forum and I'll see if I can help.
