SuziejMartin Posted 27 April , 2006 Share Posted 27 April , 2006 My Nan, Daisy Wesley joined the NAFFI and served at Bradgate Park Leicestershire during WW1. It was at Bradgate where she met my Grandad, Jesse Edward Ballard, sometimes known as Harry or Mate. Grandad was in the Royal Army Service Corp. I would be interested to hear if anyone knows anything about the NAFFI during WW1. Susie

SuziejMartin Posted 28 April , 2006 Author Share Posted 28 April , 2006 Daisy standing up. Thanks for that! It took me ages to get Daisy on at all, I forgot about putting her upright. Cheers Susie
dave ricketts Posted 6 May , 2006 Share Posted 6 May , 2006 Susie, Nice photo. Where abouts in Leicestershire was Daisy from? I didn't realise that there was a military presence in Bradgate Park during WW1. Cheers, Dave
SuziejMartin Posted 14 May , 2006 Author Share Posted 14 May , 2006 Daisy worked as an apprentice dressmaker in Johnson's Leicestershire before she joined the NAFFI in WW1. I have checked and she was definitely at Bradgate Park. It was where she met my Grandad when he returned from France to the camp at Bradgate.
