Thank you very much for that. It's good to see how Anzac Day/the Anniversary of the Landing is commemorated in the UK.

By a (sort of) coincidence I was watching the new Turkish movie Gallipoli on DVD this evening and, when the tragic story of the River Clyde unfolded, I wondered who Cdr Unwin's companion in the water was. He was a very brave Welshman.

William Williams was born at Stanton Lacy near Ludlow, SHROPSHIRE.

Here's to remember William and all those who lost their lives on this day.
