Bryn Posted 23 April , 2006 Share Posted 23 April , 2006 I'm told this was recovered from the body of a Turkish soldier during the armistice at Anzac on 24 May 1915, and that it's a Turkish soldier's ID card. Bill, could you show it to Kenan and ask him whether he can read it, or knows someone who could? If anyone else can read it, I'd appreciate hearing from them. Eceabat Posted 23 April , 2006 Share Posted 23 April , 2006 Bryn, we have someone who can read the Ottoman script and Sahin should be able to tell us if it is an ID or not. It might take a few days as, for some reason or other, we are all rather busy at the moment. However, I promise to try and track this one down. Cheers Bill PS are you getting my e-mails?
