Remembered Today:

"LANCASHIRE LAD"

I know this request is not really within the remit of the forum but I have a gut feeling that a "Lancashire Lad" out there just might possess some historical archives on the 47th. Loyal North Lancashier Regiment. If so, do you have any information on a William Stokes.

Served at Alma, Sebastopol and Inkerman.

Died: 1896 and buried at Grangegorman, Dublin.

I am looking into this for the gerat grandaughter of William.

Always a pal,

Ken
