Guest rholt Posted 20 April , 2006 Share Posted 20 April , 2006 Serge Granger's book "Le Lys et le Lotus: les relations du Quebec avec le Chine de 1650 a 1950' will be published shortly. In the book he claims that French-Canadian Catholic missionaries in China worked with the CLC as interpreters and supervisors. I was under the impression that most of the Missionaries were Protestant. There is no reference to this in the standard secondary sources available in Canada: "Beaver Magazine" (1991), "China Insight", "Dragon and the Maple Leaf" (Marjorie Wong) and "With the Chinks" (Klein, 1918). Nor can I find anything with the RHS search engine. Can anybody point me towards published sources on the CLC regarding this?
