Hello again,

Saw this chap in this topic and was wondering if any one knows any more about him:

No 12879 L/C F. NEALE.

educated at St John's School Caversham

enlisted 3/9/1914 in Royal Berks

served in 6th Bn

went to France 25/7/1915

wounded and returned to 8th Bn

MM gazetted 2/11/1917

transferred to 2nd Bn

wounded by shrapnel in head and lost left eye

discharged 11/2/19 as unfit

lived at 170 Gosbrooke St Caversham

employed by Messrs Elliott & Sons in Reading

Evening guys,

Sorry, I know this reply is years out of date but if you google wisden deaths in the war 1916 (or choose another year) you should find the cricketers listed.

The database is exceptional.
