Help with M.I.C

Hello,

I am trying to find more info regarding the medals awarded to E. A. Dowse, the Matron on HMHS 'Britannic'. I've just discovered her M.I.C:

I'm particularly interested about the Bar added to her R.R.C (1st class) -awarded during the Boer War- but I cannot fully understand the card. Is the Bar mentioned? I see just the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.

Here is the info I've managed to gather about her so far:

Any help will be deeply appreciated.

Best regards,

Michail

She seems to have served on a Hospital Ship (can't make out the name but it doesn't seem to be Brittanic from 22nd September 1916. This was presumably her "mediterraean service". She arrived in France on 8-5-1917, presumable actually qualifying for overseas service at that point.

Both of these dates would mean she didn't have a star medal.

There is a reference to a SWB (Silver War Badge) meaning she was discharged. This is usually from wounds or sickness, but in her case it may be from retirement?

Her RRC medals are not mentioned on this card.

Steve.
