Andrew Smith Posted 16 April , 2006 Share Posted 16 April , 2006 G'day All, Another Australian to serve in the RNAS was Reginald Hope Young (F4425). I know little of him except he was born in Sydney on November 30th 1898 and he died on January 27th 1916. He served with the armoured car division and is buried at the Haslar Royal Naval Cemetery. Does anyone know how Petty Officer Young died? I would be grateful for any information on him. Regards, Andrew
MikeW Posted 16 April , 2006 Share Posted 16 April , 2006 Andrew, Haslar was/is a Royal Naval Hospital at Gosport near Portsmouth, so he possibly died in hospital. Doesn't help much, sorry. Mike

Mike Terry Denham may be able to help you here. Being a naval casualty his original CWGC entry may have some "additional details" as to the cause of his death which are not reproduced on their web site. Terry has access to copies of the original registers. Andy.
