MikeW Posted 15 April , 2006 Share Posted 15 April , 2006 In 1917, Naval 9's A Flight had a picture of George Robey pasted onto the fins of their Sopwith Camels. My researches show that this picture of George Robey, the well known music hall artiste, came from the poster of the 1917 review, "Zig-Zag". Whilst there are seveal posters for Music Hall/Theatrical shows starring George Robey available on-line, I have been unable to track this particular one down. I need a good facsimile of the poster so that Colour Profiles of the A Flight Sopwith Camels can be produced as accurately as possible. Can anyone recommend a book or society or whatever that might be able to help? Mike
Andrew Smith Posted 16 April , 2006 Share Posted 16 April , 2006 G'day Mike, This site shows where old posters are located, I don't know if it the right poster or not. ZIG ZAG Andrew
MikeW Posted 16 April , 2006 Author Share Posted 16 April , 2006 Thanks Andrew, your search techniques are obviously better than mine!!! I'll follow up those four leads once Easter is done and dusted. Mike
