The MIC's only produce one Robert Sly of the RFA, here....

...and he was killed.....

SDGW doesn't say where he was born, but he was resident of, and enlited in, Doncaster.

Possible?

Incidentally, SDGW doesn't produce anySly's for Retford on born, enlisted or residence searches.

I have just found a Robert Sly on 1901 Census aged 2. He was born in Skegness but resided in Retford. There are one or two from Retford I have recently researched who enlisted in the RFA at Doncaster.
