Age: 32 Date of Death: 14/04/1918 Service No: 203718 Additional information: Son of Henry Turner, of 5, Duke St., Coventry; husband of Harriett Gertrude Green (formerly Turner), of 164, Stoney Stanton Rd., Coventry. Terry Carter Posted 14 April , 2006 Share Posted 14 April , 2006 On 14 April, 1918, The 14th Royal Warwicks (and 5th Division) were holding a line to the east of Nieppe Forest against determined German attacks and artillery barrage. On 13/14 April the battalion used two and a quarter million rounds of ammunition ! Over this two day period the 14th Warwicks had 56 men killed.
