Sir Arthur Conan Doyles son, Kingsley, died during the First World War.

I can't find him on CWGC.

Where should I be looking?

Simon

Alleyne Kingsley Conan Doyle was not in the army at the time of his death, hence no CWGC grave.

hence no CWGC grave.

Sorry to correct you, Dave, but Doyle does have a War Grave although I do not know if it has a CWGC stone. If he had left the army at the time of his death, his death must have been attributable to his service.

Here is his CWGC entry.

Name: DOYLE

Initials: A A K C

Nationality: United Kingdom

Rank: Captain

Regiment: Hampshire Regiment

Unit Text: 1st Bn.

Age: 24

Date of Death: 01/11/1918

Additional information: Son of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Lady Conan Doyle, of Windlesham, Crowborough, Sussex. Wounded on the Somme.

Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead

Grave/Memorial Reference: 23D. 191.

Cemetery: GRAYSHOTT (ST. LUKE) CHURCHYARD
