Pulled this one off the Digger History site where someone is seeking information?

Anyone have any idea of the unit?

New South Wales was the only Australian "state" to send any troops to the Sudan. Don't know if that will help narrow it down at all.

Cheers,

Tim,

If you look on Ted Harris' site he has posted it there. They think this may have been some sort of unit the man saw after the Sudan. I think it may be police, postal or similar.

You know Tim, I was thinking of Police when I first saw the photo. Perhaps PC of IPC means Police Constabulary.

It's interesting trying to find out!

Cheers,

Tim

I've been intrigued by this one too. I've just done a quick search and found the first few hits (using IPC & Sudan) come up with International Petroleum Corporation in Sudan. Not likely!!

I'd go along with Police too.... Imperial Police Constable/Corps.
