Guest sifi Posted 7 April , 2006 Share Posted 7 April , 2006 My grandfather served with the 1st Seaforths through WW1. I am trying to fill the gaps in relation to his war. The 1st Seaforths were in Mesopatania from November 1915 and involved in trying to relieve Kut. I have followed the trail from the Long, long trail until around April/May. But the detail peters out around there. My Grandfather was invalided to India for five months on 12 July 1916. What were the 1st Seaforths doing at that time? Any help would be appreciated. I guess the war diaries would tell me but I cant get to Kew easily. I've been to Fort Geroge but all records there were burned in a fire. Grateful for any help.
