Dvr William McClymont FRAME 4548 British Red Cross Society who died aged 22 on 03.04.18. Coivrel Communal Cemetery, France. Croix de Guerre and Medaille Civique (France).

Native of Campbelltown, Argyll.

Son of John Frame and Jane Frame (or McClymont), of 10, Brinkworth Terrace, York.

Was stationed for two years at No. 2 Anglo-Belgian Hospital, Calais, where he gained the rank of Cpl. before he became voluntarily attached to the French Army.

I have found a link to a William Frame in the National Archives; as a civilian (on war servcie) what medals would he have been awarded? Also was there a rank structure for the BRCS and where (as a Cpl) did he stand within it?

If he has an Index Card then it is likely he has Medals; BRCS/StJAB Members & those attached were awarded the BWM & Victory In most Cases,if only serving with the Anglo Belgian Hospital,he may only have the British War Medal{& possibly be entitled to a Belgian Victory?}however if on attachment from the BRCS he may well have the Star also{1914 or 1914~15,depending on when he embarked the MiC should tell you.
