JulianB Posted 3 April , 2006 Share Posted 3 April , 2006 This may sound like a beginner's question, but .... I'm referring to the Cambridgeshire, Herefordshire, Hertfordshire and Monmouthshire regiments (listed alphabetically !). I have seen at least 2 differing orders of precedence (including LLT). Could someone (perhaps with a 1st WW Army List to hand) please tell me what their correct order was. Do they come after the Rifle Brigade !? Were there any other "territorial" regiments - ie not battalions attached to the normal infantry regiments. (Yes, I've heard of the London Regt - though not sure where that fits in either !) thanks Julian
HarryBettsMCDCM Posted 3 April , 2006 Share Posted 3 April , 2006 Brigadier E James {British Regiments 1914-1918} list them as such:~ HAC; Monmouthshire Regt; Cambridgeshire Regt; London Regiment; Hertfordshire Regt; Herefordshire Regt; Northern Cyclist Bn; Highland Cyclist Bn; Kent Cyclist Bn; Huntingdonshire Cyclist Bn; Although he doesn't actually state that is the order he quotes the Army List 1914 as the source of contemporary Regimental Titles
